Find something fresh & delicious at the Blue Hill Farmer’s Market
Share
On Saturdays only from Memorial Day weekend through the end of October, you can visit a charming farmer’s market located at the Blue Hill Fairgrounds full of handmade arts + crafts, local meats and cheeses, locally-grown produce (blueberries, anyone?), fresh pastries, and coffee (which I should have put first on this list!). The Blue Hill Farmer’s Market often has entertainment, take-out food trucks, and a nice variety of gifts, including artwork, cards, woodwork, pottery, aprons, and other soft goods, being sold by the artisans themselves.
Some of the regular vendors you can find include:
- 5 Star Nursery & Orchards
- Blue-Zee Farm (featuring organic blueberries and other produce)
- Jackman Maple (you must buy a maple donut or four, OMG!)
- Boyd Brook Farming
- Fancy Nancy’s Blue Hill Bakery
- Mount Desert Island Girl Pasta Company
- Precipice Coffee (which has a sweet, tiny shop in Ellsworth)
And too many more to list; you gotta visit!
You can learn more about the Blue Hill Farmer’s Market promotions, opening, closing, and hours on the Blue Hill Farmer’s Market Facebook page.
FYI
Be sure and connect directly with the establishment for hours and product selection. We do our best to provide accurate information, but info may change from when we published our post. In Maine, we highly recommend you not only check out the store deets on Google, you should check their social media and call the store itself. Most businesses update store hours and closures on Facebook.
